Approvals and Quality Recordings
Safety must be given absolute priority wherever large loads and objects of high value have to be moved. In many cases and for especially sensitive applications therefore external supervisory bodies or classification societies come into play. They do not only inspect and check the equipment, staff and the production processes utilised by the manufacturer; also the products to be supplied within the context of special projects are monitored during production and it has to be confirmed that all specifications and standards relevant to this project are respected and observed. In inspection and test plans, we determine and document all measures, test specifications and testing scopes required for the respective project as well as those that have to be monitored and confirmed by external supervisory bodies. In this manner, we ensure that our products fully correspond to all requirements in terms of design and production.
C. u. A. Heiderich regularly cooperates with classification societies such as ABS, DNV-GL, LRS, RINA, etc. and we possess all the relevant certificates. Of course, approvals from societies not named here are also possible. For some types of rope sheaves we also have special product approvals from individual classification societies for certain applications, e.g. offshore installations . Furthermore, we have also been granted crane part type approvals for our welded rope sheaves by the German “TÜV”. Consequently, we are in a position to meet the utmost requirements placed upon the quality and the documentation of our products.
